Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What does my Micro-License allow me to do, exactly?
A: You are getting the right to synch our music in relation to your images.

Q: Do I own your music once I’ve licensed it?
A: No. We always own it, but you get the right to synch it to images within a specified framework.

Q: I bought your music on iTunes already. Can I synch it to my images without a Micro-License?
A: Thank you for buying the music for your listening pleasure. The right to synch to an image is an entirely different set of rights. So, no, without a Micro-License, you cannot do anything with our music other than listen to it, which is still pretty cool, if we may say so ourselves.

Q: How does your music actually reach my computer?
A: Once you’ve completed your Micro-License, you will be prompted to click to download our music in whatever format you prefer (aiff, wav, mp3).

Q: Can I monetize your music once I’ve uploaded my project to the Internet?
A: No. We reserve the right to monetize our music, but whatever you do with your images is your business.

Q: Will I get flagged by YouTube if I upload my images with your music on it?
A: Yes. You may receive a copyright claim email from Youtube if you have used our music in your videos. This is just a heads up. Don’t worry. You’re not in trouble and your account standing is not affected by this. There are either ads running on your video, with the revenue going to the copyright owner, or the copyright owner is receiving stats about your video’s views.

Q: If I completed a Micro-License for one project, do I need to complete another one if I use that same music in another project?
A: Yes, because each Micro-License prices and grants rights for a specific use. If you need a bunch of pieces of music to complete a single project, then go for it! But, please don’t synch that music again into a different project.

Q: Do you write music for custom projects?
A: Yes, we sure do. Please email or call us to provide more detail.
